    TDS, #521 on the FORTUNE 1000®, has an excellent opportunity for an energetic and forward-thinking individual.  The Financial Analyst directly interacts with our CEO, enterprise executives, and senior leadership throughout the organization.  This highly visible Financial Analyst position plays a crucial role in helping to establish the strategic direction for the TDS family of companies: U.S. Cellular, TDS Telecommunications Corporation, OneNeck IT Solutions, and Suttle Straus.   


    NOTE: We have one Financial Analyst opportunity available and the position can be filled at the Staff or Senior level based on applicable skills.

    The Financial Analyst plays a key role supporting the financial analysis and strategic planning processes at TDS.  The Financial Analyst prepares analyses and presentations for the strategic planning process, the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and quarterly board of directors meetings, and prepares financial statement projections for the annual rating agency review process.  The Financial Analyst also reviews and analyzes business investment proposals and provides financial and strategic impact analyses of acquisitions, divestitures and other special projects. 


    Required Qualifications:


    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
    • Relevant internship experience -OR- 6+ months financial analysis or accounting experience


    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred
    • 3+ years finance, accounting or strategy experience

    Other Qualifications:


    • CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional certification is preferred (or actively working towards one)
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial statements, accounting concepts, financial modeling, and application of analytical tools
    • Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; including the ability to successfully perform independent, in-depth analysis and generate concise conclusions
    • Superior verbal and written communication skills; including the ability to communicate effectively within multiple levels within the enterprise, including executive management
    • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail and quality


    • Strong business acumen and strategic thinker
    • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
    • High level ability to oversee others effectively
    • Ability to build relationships with others that are outside of the reporting line
    • Ability to meet deadlines and work under aggressive time constraints, prioritizing multiple projects
