    TDS, #521 on the Fortune 1000 and a national communications company, has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Risk Analyst in our downtown Chicago, IL office.  

    Responsibilities

    This position partners with the Director-Risk Management to administer the Corporation’s enterprise-wide risk management and insurance programs.  This effort includes the design, procurement and complete administration of the Company’s property, casualty, and executive risk insurance programs.  Responsibilities for the Senior Risk Analyst include, but are not limited to: 

    • Collecting and analyzing exposure data, analyzing proposal terms and conditions, and contributing to the decision-making process.
    • Analyzing the accounting elements of the insurance programs and provide related support to the business units.
    • Assisting in the resolution of specific claims, including property, workers compensation, general liability and auto.
    • Reviewing and maintaining TDS insurance policy documents including proposals, binders, and policies. Interpret wording changes and follow up with brokers to resolve exception items.
    • Performing ad hoc requests including matters related to accounting, legal, internal controls and audit services, facilities, human resources and other areas of the business.
    • Providing input data for annual actuarial review through generating loss triangles, soliciting and submitting exposure data, and working with outside consultants and actuaries to analyze and interpret the data.
    • Managing the Risk Management Information System; including communicating and working with the RMIS vendor, overseeing the implementation of new versions, and coordinating on-going content updates.
    • Supporting due diligence analysis for potential acquisitions to identify significant risk management and insurance issues, facilitate integrate any acquisition into the organization’s insurance programs.
    • Assisting with reviewing insurance provisions in contracts to assist the business units in the negotiation process with vendors.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field desired -OR- 4+ years equivalent combination of training and experience
    • 3+ year’s experience in the commercial property and casualty insurance market

    Other Qualifications:

     

    • Risk / Insurance designation (CPCU, ARM) preferred
    • Demonstrated knowledge of the risk management process
    • Strong analytical problem solving and decision making skills
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with coworkers, vendors and other stakeholders
    • Proficiency in Excel and Power Point, and familiarity with SharePoint or similar enterprise content management tool.  Proven ability to quickly learn other software systems/tools; risk management specific applications a strong plus
