The Senior Accountant positions are responsible for more complex transactional accounting activities related to general ledger accounts. The position will act as a key resource in the day-to-day maintenance of complete and accurate general ledger accounts, month end close activities and preparing financial reports for the TDS enterprise. The Senior Accountant is also responsible for demonstrating leadership within their individual and/or team roles, as well as maintaining appropriate internal controls and SOX compliance.


We have 2 opportunities available that will support one of the following functional areas:

  • Fixed Assets: ensuring physical assets are appropriately stated on the general ledger, including physical counts and reconciliations; support fixed asset activities including asset settlements and depreciation analysis. 
  • General Accounting: month and quarter end close activities, including preparing financial statements and completing regulatory filings for various state and Federal agencies.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field -OR- 4+ years professional work experience
  • 3+ years experience with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or equivalent combination of technical and functional experience

Other Qualifications:

  • CPA or eligibility to sit for the exam 
  • Ability to work effectively in complex fast-moving organization, satisfying needs of diverse constituents, under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Expertise in Excel, Word and Access; SAP knowledge a strong plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial calculations and accounting reconciliation methods.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation and active listening skills.
  • Proven ability to present results in a clear and concise manner to all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and/or within a team setting.
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values with impeccable integrity. Exhibits confidence and credibility and team-above-self outlook.
  • Sharp, rigorous thinker who can operate as an intellectual leader among bright, high-energy peers.
  • Strong results orientation, which includes achieving improvement commitments, performance metrics and targeted and required delivery dates.

This position has an annualized rate of pay that may range from $68,100-$85,000, based on a number of factors which may include position level, internal equity and market location, and may also vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Associates are also eligible for a potential annual performance award (bonus), based on annual individual and company performance.
