Job Summary:

The primary function of this role is to develop and manage all aspects of installation projects, including the estimating, planning, organization, coordination and technical support of national installation programs. Conducts field inspections (onsite and remote) to collect data, verify existing/actual conditions, and monitor conformance with plans/specifications.


Key Results Areas (KRAs)

1. Provide a Positive Customer Experience

  • Serve as customer/sales initial point of contact for nationwide installations and storewide rollouts
  • Lead the development of project scope of work
  • Plan, conduct and present at project related meetings.
  • Monitor and maintain specific customer inventory
  • Set and manage client expectations for delivery
  • Create sales orders for needed materials and work with shipping to deliver on time
  • Prepare complete installation and inventory reports on time
  • Maintain data systems and records to track the process and progress of each project for proper evaluation, control and documentation to ensure accurate and complete installation

2. Deliver Quality Estimates and Plans

  • Plan, organize, direct and control all costs of installation and subcontracting for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate resources to ensure timely and cost-effective installation and completion of assigned projects
  • Coordinate and prepares installation services, specifications and install instruction documents
  • Provide detailed scope of work and instructions to installers and subcontractors. Verify understanding of project expectations.
  • Prepare accurate, consistent, and profitable job estimates and plans as related to inventory, installations, and storewide rollouts
  • Write purchase orders for materials and/or services
  • Create sales orders for locations and work with shipping to ensure they deliver accurately and on time
  • Prepare installation specifications, vendor bid documents, contracts and change orders
  • Monitor location installation schedule for remodels and refreshed for any milestone date changes
  • Oversee vendors and production processes related to installation project work
  • Communicate project status to staff and other affected groups, keeping customer informed as to the progress of projects and of any developing problems, recommending alternative courses of action to mitigate such problems
  • Serve as primary point of contact on installation issues

3. Ensure Efficient Processes

  • Monitor and balance workload to ensure estimates are provided, jobs are entered, PO has been provided, and pre-billing is completed within agreed upon turn times
  • Ensure internal collaboration between CFWT and production team members
  • Maintain pricing structure and philosophy
  • Evaluate vendor quality and value

4. Actively Engage in Continuous Improvement (CI) & Safety

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborate to develop and improve processes
  • Participate in CAPA (corrective action preventative action) activities in the department
  • Contribute to department CI activities
  • Reduce waste, including rework, by attacking the eight wastes


Skills & Educational Requirements: 

  • Principles and practices of project management, facilities management and installation services
  • Knowledge of current installation methods and estimating methods
  • Ability to read floor plans and blueprints to obtain specifications
  • Creative problem-solving skills required to regularly analyze client needs, understand department capabilities, evaluate company capabilities and limitations, and select the most appropriate approach
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, database programs, project management, etc.
